Sorting Hampers at the Interfaith Food Bank!
This morning the IME team visited the Interfaith food bank to volunteer. The students spread out and conquered! Some students helped at client intake, some sorted hampers and repackaged food items, some helped with cleaning and data entry. Today all students walked away with a feeling of deeper inspiration for their term projects. Those who help client intake got a stronger feel for the good people the Interfaith Food Bank helps, and how important it is for the community. Those who helped with sorting, repackaging, and organizing hampers learned how many different resources go into helping these people, and why volunteers are a vital part to organizations like this. Needless to say, members from the IME cohort will be back to help more, and continue to work hard to improve this meaningful organization
